Ia��m glad I was born and grew up in a simple environment, which has taught me respect towards rhythm, silence and words. My love of music comes from this and from my everlasting sense of displacement. Ita��s a peculiar beginning, which is full of astonishment. Perhaps, in those mornings of longing for light, the desire to use singing as a manner of expression grew and came alive inside me.
Ia��m in time to change route: destination Venice. Awaiting for me there is the a�?Benedetto Marcelloa�? Academy of Music and a teacher who has been crucial for me, Stella Silva. And then sudden and unexpected events: my degree, my first concerts, the first approvals and the first auditions. And roles in unforgettable productions: Mozarta��s a�?CosA� fan tuttea�?, Rossinia��s a�?The Barber of Sevillea�? and Mozarta��s a�?The Marriage of Figaroa�?.
Theatres, which are full of charm, such as La Fenice of Venice, the Haus fur Mozart of Salzburg, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia of Valencia, the Caracalla of Rome, the Dante Alighieri of Ravenna, the Ponchielli of Cremona, the Verdi of Trieste, the Regio of Turin, the Stabile of Brescia and many others.
Over the years, I have had the chance to sing with Riccardo Muti in Paisielloa��s a�?Il matrimonio inaspettatoa�?, with Placido Domingo in a�?Amelia Goes to the Balla�? at the theatre of Valencia. I have the fondest memories of all the people I have had the chance to work with and that have supported me, such as the Aslico, conductors, maestros and my agent for his tireless work.
I am so grateful to have explored the world of bel canto to make it my leitmotif and to have perfected my style with Mirella Freni and Fernando Corderio Opa. I am grateful for both important and less important roles because when you truly love something a�� everything has a different colour. And, of course, operas, this great Italian invention that makes me proud of my country and my language, which is so full of grace. I love what I do and what I sing, may it be Mozart, Rossini, Gounod, Donizetti, Massenet, Handel, Bellini or Strauss.
This is why I have not submitted a conventional curriculum, which is available if needed, but have preferred to give visual and conceptual indications to give an idea of how complex my work as a mezzo-soprano is.
I almost forgot a�� I am from Friuli. Origins also have their importance.
My sentimental journey embraces beauty in all its forms, art, culture and spirituality. I do not think I am different from the majority. I have just had the chance to do what I really love and this inspires a deep sense of gratitude.
